Lawmakers later clarified this act to ensure all marijuana dispensaries treat products like tobacco. This ruling applies to pre-rolled marijuana, liquid cannabis concentrate and other marijuana products.

Where Can I Legally Purchase Marijuana?

You can legally purchase marijuana and cannabis products at any licensed dispensary. Remember that to purchase cannabis, you must be 21 years of age or older, and you can only possess up to 2.5 ounces of marijuana and/or 5 grams of marijuana concentrate.

After you purchase your cannabis products, there are a few rules to keep in mind:

• It is illegal to drive while under the influence of marijuana.
• A passenger in a car cannot use marijuana.
• Using cannabis is not allowed in public spaces.
• You can legally use marijuana on private property.
• Marijuana use is legal in the state of Maine, but if you travel outside state lines, it may not be legal in bordering states.
